Explore six countries full of European themed rides, shows and eateries.  Theme Parks Magazine’s fourth annual Readers’ Choice Awards have chosen Busch Gardens as a clear winner; placing in nine of 17 categories. Busch Gardens was voted most beautiful park. The European-themed park also had three of the top 10 steel roller coasters, with Griffon placing second in the favorite “New for 2007” category. Other notable placements include best food, best live entertainment, cleanest park, best seasonal event, best water ride and best themed ride or attraction.

For the 20th consecutive year, the European-themed park has been voted the “Most Beautiful Park” by members of the National Amusement Park Historical Association. The combination of European-themed architecture, lush landscaping and elaborate costumes contributes to the beauty and charm of the park.

Additionally, Busch Gardens has ranked highly in Amusement Today’s international “Golden Ticket Awards” survey in the “Best Landscaping – Amusement Park” category. Busch Gardens has won the award every year since 1998 when the category was established.

Busch Gardens is adding new thrills in 2011. With the addition of a new  thrill ride, Mäch Tower℠, the rejuvenation of an iconic village and the return of exciting events, 2011 will bring a year of thrills at the Williamsburg theme park. Mäch Tower, opening late spring, will lift riders nearly 240 feet above Oktoberfest and drop them at breathtaking speeds. And the fun doesn’t stop there. Busch Gardens’ Oktoberfest village is getting a fresh new look complete with restaurants, games and performance areas. Summer, fall and winter are packed full of excitement with the return of IllumiNights:  A Busch Gardens Encore, the 13th anniversary of Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town:  A Busch Gardens Celebration, the holiday spectacular that transforms the European-themed park into a winter wonderland.

Located about 5 miles from the Inn, you can easily drive to Busch Gardens and spend the day. Combination tickets are available to Colonial Williamsburg as well as Busch Gardens.
