Williamsburg Art Show comes to town!

by Debbie Keane |

Each year since 1969, Occasion for the Arts has taken over the streets of downtown Williamsburg. This year, on the first weekend of October, it is back, bigger and better than ever before. Come and enjoy this juried art show that brings works from talented fine artists, local youth artists and wonderful performing artists for an exciting weekend in Williamsburg. Located down the street in Merchant Square, you can walk from A Williamsburg White House and enjoy the show on Saturday and Sunday, Oct 3 and Oct 4, from 10am-5pm.

40 new artists have been accepted into the Occasions for the Arts this year! Artists from 29 states across the Country have applied. Don’t miss seeing the new works from returning artists as well as the new ones. While in Merchant Square, enjoy lunch at the Cheese Shop, grab a cheese board and a bottle of wine and sit outside during the show. Don’t forget to make dinner reservations on one of our favorite restaurants in Merchant Square for after the Art Show.
