Experience Food and Drink in Williamsburg, Virginia!

Williamsburg is more than just a town full of History! It is a town full of food and drink in all of the local eateries for our traveling foodies out there.

Located just a short 4 blocks down the street from A Williamsburg White House, you will find Merchant square. It is here that you can find a variety of restaurants to soothe your palate.

The Fat Canary  is one of our favorite fine dining places. It is described as a “Refined, green-walled bistro serving upscale American fare & wines, with a cheese shop & patio.” Voted one of the 100 Best Restaurants for Foodies in America!

The Dog Street Pub  is a new gastropub in town. It’s owner states that it offers “simply presented, excellent food without the rubbish. With an understanding that a superb beer is the perfect complement to a perfect meal.”  The theme and scope of a gastropub combines the leisurely and unpretentious ambiance of a watering hole, with the epicurean delights of a good eatery at an affordable price.

Looking for something French? The Blue Talon Bistro is a fun place with great décor offering French Bistro comfort food, where you can find that fried egg on your cheeseburger! As stated by its owner, “The Blue Talon Bistro has worked to provide a warm, welcoming and casual environment to enjoy what we lovingly refer to as “serious comfort food”.

New to town is the Hounds Tale which has a great selection of small plates as well as a trendy atmosphere. The owners describe the restaurants as featuring “affordable fresh, tasty bites that range from comfort foods with a twist. Dishes that evoke memories of travels abroad. Great spirits include a variety of regional beers and wines as well as an array of delightful, hand-crafted cocktails.”

If Breweries are your style, try the brand new Amber Ox Public House.   They have described their menu as “paying ode to a classic southern fare with a contemporary twist!”

Wherever you decide to dine, just know that these restaurants are just a few to mention in town!
