Spring Getaways in Williamsburg

Spring flowers in Williamsburg

One of my favorite times of the year. The flowers and trees in bloom, the grass is green, the skies are blue and the humidity is low. Williamsburg is beautiful in the spring. Enjoy full programming in Colonial Williamsburg, take the shuttle to Jamestown or Yorktown and leave your car in the driveway. Stroll through the farmers market down the street on Saturday mornings and then jump on a carriage ride down Duke of Gloucester street in the afternoon sun. Enjoy shopping in Merchant Square and sit outside the Cheese Shop with a glass of wine and a sampling of cheese. Restaurants abound as you choose from “our own Emeril” at A Chefs Kitchen to  Fine dining at the Fat Canary. If you prefer a French Bistro for some “comfort food”, then try the Blue Talon, but if you want to hear a little jazz, head to the Trellis restaurant for dinner and music. Back at the Inn, we will have your room waiting for you, some warm tasty snacks along with wine , port and sherry in the late afternoon. In the morning, wake to a delicious breakfast, steaming hot coffee and great conversation.
